About Elena
Hello! I am Elena and I am a full time viola player as well as a violin, viola and music theory teacher. I have taught for over 5 years, from complete beginners to advanced pupils and I have experience teaching and preparing my students for ABRSM exams, both instrumental and theoretical.

My approach to teaching is tailored to fit the student’s specific needs to ensure fast progress and an enjoyable learning experience. Learning a musical instrument is challenging at any stage, but it can be one of the most fun and rewarding experiences!
When I teach, I always try to find strategies to help my students develop in the best possible way, which at a later stage will become tools for them to use when practicing- I believe is very important that the student (with time) also learns to become an independent learner.
I like to present new information in ways that the student will be able relate to on a personal level, as this makes learning much simpler and much more enjoyable for the student, as well as increasing their confidence. It’s so important to to love what we do!
