I make learning fun and interactive with games, stories, and real-life activities. My classes include warm-ups, easy explanations, and creative practice to build confidence and curiosity. I teach English and other subjects to primary and secondary students, helping each child learn at their own pace in a friendly environment. A) My Teaching Approach As a teacher, I believe that learning should be interactive, enjoyable, and meaningful. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where every student feels confident, motivated, and supported. I focus on developing not only academic skills but also curiosity, communication, and critical thinking. B) Teaching Techniques and Methods I use a blend of student-centered and interactive teaching methods, including: 1) Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) – to encourage real-life use of English through speaking, role plays, and discussions. 2) Task-Based Learning (TBL) – where students complete engaging, real-world tasks that promote problem-solving and creativity. 3) Visual and Kinesthetic Activities – such as games, storytelling, flashcards, and multimedia tools to keep lessons dynamic and fun. 4) Differentiated Instruction – tailoring lessons according to students’ learning styles, strengths, and needs. 5) Positive Reinforcement – celebrating small wins to boost confidence and motivation. C) Class Structure A typical class follows a simple and consistent flow: 1) Warm-Up / Review (5–10 mins) – Quick activities or games to review previous material. 2) Introduction (5 mins) – Presenting the day’s topic or objective clearly. 3) Main Lesson (20–30 mins) – Interactive teaching with examples, pair work, or group tasks. 4) Practice (10–15 mins) – Exercises, discussions, or quizzes to reinforce learning. 5) Wrap-Up (5 mins) – Summary of key points and short feedback or reflection. 6) This structure keeps lessons well-paced and ensures understanding at each stage. D) Special Features as a Teacher 1) I combine creativity and clarity in every lesson, making complex topics easy to grasp. 2) My TESOL/TEFL training allows me to use modern, global teaching techniques suitable for diverse learners. 3) I focus on building confidence in communication, not just accuracy. 4) I integrate real-life examples and cross-subject connections to make learning relevant and engaging. 5) My home-based teaching allows for personalized attention and a flexible learning pace for each student. E) Who My Classes Are For My classes are designed for: 1) Primary and secondary school students – for academic support in English and other subjects. 2) Teenagers and young adults – focusing on language development, communication, and exam preparation. 3) Beginner to intermediate learners of English – who want to improve fluency, grammar, and confidence.

I am Alka, and I must say for my kid Raksha is an absolutely wonderful tutor. She has worked with my child and I have seen a remarkable improvement not just in their grades, but also in their overall confidence. What makes Raksha perfect is her incredibly patient and encouraging teaching style. She creates a positive and supportive environment where my child feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
Raksha's reputation is well-deserved. She is very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about teaching, and that enthusiasm is contagious. She tailors her lessons to fit my child's unique learning needs, which has made difficult topics much easier to understand. We are so grateful for her hard work and highly recommend her to any parent looking for a dedicated and effective tutor."View more recommendations
