About Lia
Hi, I am Lia! I have lived in 6 countries throughout my life, granting me my perfect level of English! I have always loved writing, from creative writing during my high school years to now writing scripts and analytic essays for films.
I finished my GCSEs and A Levels with all A/A*s thanks to my excellent writing and analytic skills (even when I sometimes knew little about the topic). I completed my Bachelor in Art History with a cum laude and have now embarked on a Film Master's.
My friends have always reached out to me to proofread their essays and help with feedback. Now I am here to help you too! After years of writing I have developed many methods to get myself out of a rut, to optimise my writing time and to use the correct writing methodology to sound clear and coherent!

A lesson with me will mostly be focused on helping you kickstart or get through an essay with feedback and tips for when you're in a rut or your essay just doesn't sound quite right. I provide feedback in written form and through conversational means, aiming to streamline your work so that you can get through that essay as quickly and effectively as possible!
I can provide excellent knowledge on:
- grammar and spelling
- voice (coherence, clarity, persuasion, etc)
- references and footnotes (Chicago and APA format)
- thesis standards
- literature analysis
Still being a student myself, I really get the fear of those looming 5000 words... Together we can break it down and make those words effortless!
I am personally specialised in Art History, Media and Film, but I can support anyone writing an essay for their high-school (from GCSE to A-Levels) or Bachelor's degree.
