About Everett
I am a dedicated saxophone tutor with 7 years of experience teaching college students. My approach combines structured practice, creativity, and real-life music applications. I focus on developing solid technical skills while encouraging students to explore their own style and musical expression. Lessons include improvisation, rhythm exercises, and performance practice, helping students gain confidence and skill simultaneously.
I also use innovative methods like digital recording feedback, interactive play-along sessions, and structured goal-setting to make learning measurable and motivating. Alongside saxophone, I teach music theory, sight-reading, and ear training, giving students a complete understanding of music.
My lessons are friendly, patient, and adaptable. I believe that mistakes are part of learning, and every student can progress with consistent practice and the right guidance. Whether you want to play in college bands, perform on stage, or enjoy music as a hobby, I tailor my lessons to help you achieve your musical dreams efficiently and creatively.

My Saxophone teaching methodology is based on creativity, guidance, and responsibility. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and express themselves through music. I begin with a clear understanding of the student’s level and goals, then build lessons that balance technique, musical understanding, and enjoyment.
I teach core skills like breath support, sound production, articulation, scales, and timing using simple explanations and practical exercises. Creativity is included through improvisation practice, tone exploration, and learning songs from different music styles. I act as a mentor by supporting students emotionally and musically, helping them overcome challenges and build confidence.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students how to listen carefully, correct mistakes, and understand what they are playing instead of memorising blindly. Accountability is encouraged through structured practice routines, weekly targets, and honest feedback. Students learn discipline and responsibility for their progress. I also teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Sight Reading, Rhythm Training, and Performance Skills to support overall musical growth.
