About Alivia
hihi, I'm Alivia! 🪷
I grew up in Hong Kong, surrounded by the Chinese language and culture every day, and I earned an IB Bilingual Diploma in English and Chinese, so I know the language inside and out. I'm now a university student at the University of Toronto, and I'm so excited to share my culture with everyone here! I am young, open-minded, and determined to keep every class fun.

My approach:
I grew up in Hong Kong, so Chinese is how I lived, not just something I studied. My lessons are relaxed and conversational, focused on getting you speaking. Mistakes are welcome, and I teach the Chinese people actually use day to day, along with the culture behind it.
A typical lesson:
Warm-up chat at your level
Main topic through conversation and role-play (food, travel, work, meeting people)
