I am a recently graduated from St Cuthbert's College in Auckland IB student who took HL English Literature and scored highly. I believe that every student is capable of improving and achieving their goals in English. I am ready to support my students to do so in any capacity I am able. Am very adaptable and can cater my teaching methods to best suit each type of student and their learning style. I am flexible with lengths of the lesson and level. Both are dependent on the student. I am capable of teaching pre-NCEA (years7-10) because I have experience running student educational events with my own charity, all the way through NCEA (took two levels because I was accelerated, including Creative Writing), working towards Excellence endorsement, and to any IB English course as IB HL Literature developed skills in me that are transferrable to each of the other types of English. I have experience with young students tutoring and also in tutoring high school students in year 11 for NCEA english. The lessons for IB will be focused on learning their texts, developing specific skills needed for them to succeed in assessments etc. and hence will usually be an hour. Younger students who may have less strenuous literature demands will typically receive shorter, more adapted yet effective, lessons.
