About Tegen
I’m a Director of Science with experience teaching across both the state and private sectors, specialising in A Level Biology (OCR and AQA A Level and AQA and iGCSE GCSE).
I’m genuinely passionate about helping students succeed — not just by improving grades, but by building confidence and making biology feel clear and manageable. With a background in neuroscience and a strong interest in how students learn, I focus on teaching in a way that actually sticks.
Having led a thriving department and supported many students through their exams, I understand both the pressure students feel and what it takes to achieve top grades.
I teach because I enjoy seeing that moment when things click — when a student goes from feeling unsure to feeling confident and in control.

With a background in neuroscience and a strong interest in cognitive science, alongside my experience leading a thriving science department and guiding many students through their exams, I bring both subject expertise and a deep understanding of how students learn best.
