About Jovan
Jovan Pjević is a graduate multimedia producer and communication specialist. For over three years, he has been engaged in film criticism, writing, filming, and editing content for his YouTube channel "Jovan Semi." He also manages an Instagram page, where he posts related content.
In addition, Jovan teaches various film and television topics at UK Božidarac. His lecture cycles include "Film Genre", "A Brief History of Film", and "Famous Directors". He is also a guest lecturer at the "Philological Gymnasium", teaching "Film Genre".
Furthermore, he works as a producer at the cultural association "Cultural element", and during 2023 he was involved in writing reviews and original texts for "IGN Adria".
Jovan is currently a master's student in Film and TV Production at Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.

I use an interactive approach that blends film theory with hands-on analysis. Expect engaging discussions, guided screenings, creative assignments, and practical exercises that encourage critical thinking and contextual understanding of cinema.
Lesson plan is mostly always the same. Firstly I do an introduction of the day's topic and historical context. I also do curated clips or excerpts for real-time analysis. I also focus on group discussion and guided questions focusing on filmmaking techniques and cultural impact. At the end, there is always a Q&A session and recap.
My background as a film producer, critic, and educator, combined with a degree in Multimedia Production/Communicology and current MA studies in Film & TV Production, provides a unique blend of academic rigor and industry insight. I tailor each lesson to your interests, ensuring a personalized, engaging, and enriching learning experience.
