About Carol
I have worked for over 20 years in Higher Education supporting students in all aspects of learning and particularly in supporting writing. I am also a mentor to neurodivergent students. I teach Arts and Humanities for the Open University and worked for over 20 years at the University of Glasgow in Student Learning, supporting all students in writing, including workshops and one-
-to-ones in dissertation writing.
I worked in a publishing house and have also extensive proofreading skills, particularly in academic writing.

I have 20 years of supporting students from all Arts and Humanities subjects in Higher Education for writing support and help with proofreading Masters dissertations. My approach is to work with the student to identify the focus, structure and writing process. Ongoing writing can be sent to me in advance and I will meet to help with writing, editing and proofreading. I have extensive experience with writing support for those for whom English is not their first language. I also have extensive experience supporting native English speakers.
My approach is agreed with the student so that we are both happy with how our sessions go and we will review this as we proceed to make sure that the student is fully supported.
