About Jude
I have a BA, an MA, and a PhD in English. I am also a UN acredited Climate Change teacher and have a strong interest in the environment and Eco-critical theory.
I taught in the UK's largest online school for over 9 years, becoming head of a large English department. I have been privately tutoring for over 25 years and became a full-time tutor in 2018.

I love all aspects of English and have a positive approach that inspires confidence. It is my firm belief that each one of my students has the capacity to achieve their best, and at the same time, develop an appreciation of the subject. I find that in a one-on-one session, a student can gain confidence and learn how to believe in themselves in a much more effective way than when lost in a classroom with 30 others.
Lessons are usually an hour long. I can either top up what you are missing out on at school, or can take you right the way through GCSE, IGCSE, or A Level English Language or Literature. I examine for all of the major exam boards, so have a good understnding of what they are looking for.
I have been tutoring for over 25 years.
