About Maybelle
I'm Maybelle, a 27-year-old Nigerian. I graduated with a degree in medicine back in 2023, but I've been teaching English since 2021. English isn't just another subject to me, nor is it a mandatory requirement needed to get your next visa. It is rather, the key to a whole new world, and it is my pleasure to be your tour guide. About Me Hello! I’m Maybelle, an experienced and passionate English tutor with over 3 years' experience of teaching learners from A1 to C1. I help students improve fluency, pronunciation, writing, and confidence—whether for exams, work, or everyday conversation. Who I Teach -Everyone who wants to start speaking English from the first lesson - Children (6+) and teenagers - University students - Professionals preparing for interviews or workplace English - Exam candidates (IELTS, CELPIP) - Beginners to advanced learners Teaching Style & Method My lessons are: Interactive and student-focused Practical and based on real-life topics Adapted to your goals (conversation, grammar, writing, etc.) I use articles, videos, speaking prompts, and vocabulary-building tools to make learning fun and relevant. ️Typical Lesson Structure Every lesson begins with a short warm-up (like a vocabulary review or discussion), followed by a targeted activity based on the student’s focus area (e.g., grammar point, functional language, speaking theme). We end each session with a short recap and homework/recommendations for self-study. I also provide a lesson summary after class, optional quizzes and follow-up tasks, progress tracking to measure improvement over time, optional extra homework, and personalized feedback and tips.
