About Stephen
In undergraduate studies I majored in psychology and minored in biology while taking pre-med requirements. I then attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where I received my Doctor of Medicine degree in 2017. I have tutored students in college and informally during medical school, and currently tutor students mainly online but am interested in in-person opportunities as well. I am very enthusiastic, and my approach is to help students become intrinsically motivated, as I believe that is what makes students decide to become life-long learners like I have done.

I make it a point for students to understand the big picture, so they have a schema to put all the details in. I also focus on applications of material. Often this involves finding out a students interests and gearing sessions around that. This is a fun process, as they get to learn how the material actually applies to them, and I get to be creative in thinking about material in new and exciting ways.

Details
As long as cancellation occurs 24hr prior to scheduled session, student will not be charged. If 2-24 hour notice is given than student will be charged half of what the session was supposed to cost, and if less than 2 hour notice or no notice is given student will be charged in full
