About Alexander
Physicist with a PhD in nuclear and statistical physics, currently working as a scientist at a multidisciplinary, large-scale research facility. 4 years of experience teaching university-level computer science and mathematics fundamentals. "Teacher of the Year 2023" nominee at the University of Liverpool. Previous tutoring experience in GCSE and A-Level EDEXCEL mathematics and physics. Author of a published scientific data analysis software package.

My lessons are usually 1-2 hours long, and I can teach mathematics, physics and computer science at GCSE, A-Level and university (undergraduate and postgraduate) levels. I am able to help with specific topics and exam preparation or tailor my courses to follow the structure of an existing curriculum.

Alexander had helped me throughout my internship, spending time with me and explaining concepts in a way which I fully understood. His teaching methods are great and allowed me to consider the concept and reach conclusion by myself without be judged and asking questions to cement my knowledge.
Would whole heartily recommend Alex, he has a great knowledge of 3D modelling and CAD software.I met Alex whilst working on X-ray imaging through a placement, and was lucky enough to experience first hand what a great teacher he is. He explained complex technical concepts clearly and patiently, never made me feel bad for asking questions, and was always happy to go through things again from a different angle. He took the time, even outside placement hours, to make sure I understood why things worked, not just how to do them, which made me far more confident working independently. His scientific competency and technical skills are excellent, and he's just as good at passing them on. I'd recommend him to any student, whether a beginner or already experienced.
I highly recommend Alex as a teacher. I met him during an internship and he taught me lots of things even if my english was not perfect. He has a lot of knowledge in various areas and is very passionate about everything he teaches. He is also very patient and explains complex scientific concepts with ease.
I've known Alexander in a professional and teaching environment, and have seen his work firsthand. His lectures are well-prepared, fully structured, and interactive, and his passion for science is super contagious. He has experience in an undergraduate lecture room and in one-to-one lectures, and has incredible patience with the students and a thorough understanding of course content, so much so that he can explain to people of all kinds of backgrounds. His work now also includes outreach, which has impacted positively on his skills for keeping people engaged in a topic while explaining to a broad audience, from toddlers to other scientists.
