About Livia
I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Education at Teachers College, Columbia University currently based in France for my doctoral research. As a learner of foreign languages myself, I believe that learning a language should be engaging and fun.
I love learning about my students goals and interests in order to provide the best and most relevant learning experience and help them reach their goals quickly.
I have taught young refugee children, opera singers, and professionals preparing for a job interview, and university students preparing for exams. I love art, history, travel and music, among other cultural interests.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you learn the beautiful French language!

Lessons are 50 minutes long and tailored to individual needs and interests.
I have over 5 years of experience teaching in various environments and levels.
I believe that each student is unique in and adapt my lessons to their preferred learning styles.
I use various engaging techniques from videos to songs and poetry and make sure that formal and colloquial language is covered in order for students to feel comfortable in any setting.
I currently teach young adults at the university level as well as adults at all levels of learning.
