About Shannon
I am a published author, college instructor, and high school educator. I hold degrees in journalism and education, with additional college-level coursework in history and English. My highest degree obtained is a doctorate in education. I am known by all my students as a teacher who genuinely cares about the growth of each learner and as somebody who will make the process of writing fulfilling, no matter your learning style!

My teaching style is definitely driven by each one of my students since writing is a task that relies on each individual's unique voice. A typical lesson with me would include laying out the framework for what kind of writing and/or analysis must be accomplished, followed by guided drafting, citing, and revising. I have a doctorate in education and have extensive experience in working with high school and college students in accelerated programs and challenging writing classes. My lessons are for high school grade levels (9-12) and college-level students. My lessons are appropriate for English classes, writing classes, and research classes.
