About Susan
I completed a bachelor's, master's, and doctorate in music as a viola performance major. Before going to conservatory or becoming a music major, I know firsthand how helpful it is to get some extra help in both music theory and music history! Because I have attended both a major conservatory and a major university, I am very familiar with the standard curriculum and enjoy working with students to strengthen their skills.

I customize my tutoring to the student's goals (i.e. improving grades, preparing for a music major, learning for the pleasure of learning). The first session will be to determine the best plan of action. I find students are most successful when they have one hour of tutoring every other week, but this will vary. For both music history and music theory, I use the standard textbooks for U.S. schools.
