About Brooke
Hello! I’m Teacher Brooke. I love making learning fun, and I’ve loved drama since I was little. Drama lets us step into different characters and see the world from other points of view. It helped me express myself and find community, and I’m excited to share that with you. My lessons are fun, creative and confidence-building. We’ll play with voice and movement, try light improvisation, and practise scripts; if you have a monologue or a specific goal, I’ll tailor the session to suit you. I’m flexible, patient and always encouraging. Outside the classroom I enjoy art, scrapbooking, reading and video games. If I could play any role, I’d love to voice-act in a video game—or even for Pokémon. I can’t wait to help you find your voice!

My approach to tutoring & how I teach Techniques & teaching methodology I’m a passionate teacher who believes drama is a powerful form of expression that helps children build social skills, speaking confidence and teamwork. My lessons are: Inclusive and differentiated: planned around age, ability and any SEND/EAL needs (e.g., scaffolding, visual supports, short “brain breaks”, now/next boards, clear success criteria). Active and practical: warm-ups for voice and movement, improvisation, role-play, storytelling, tableaux/freeze-frames, choral speaking, script reading, devising and gentle mindfulness for nerves. Curriculum-aligned: draws on EYFS continuous provision and the UK National Curriculum for primary (speaking & listening, PSHE, oracy). Assessment-aware: I use light formative assessment/AfL (clear objectives, quick checks, reflection) so pupils see progress in confidence, clarity and presence. Calm, safe and fun: consistent routines, positive behaviour for learning and plenty of encouragement so every child feels brave enough to have a go.
