About Chantelle

I am a Durham University law graduate (2:1) who is currently working in London. Prior to that, I had attended Concord College in the UK (A*AA) and spent a year teaching English in Hong Kong. I enjoy travelling and working with children, however, I decided to pursue a career in law because it seemed like the sensible thing to do after law school. Yet, Covid has made me rethink my priorities and passion, which is working with kids and students, as well as sharing my love for language and literature, making the experience fun and unique for young learners.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching is interactive and dynamic. Each lesson, which will last an hour minimum, will be a fun and joyful experience that not only helps you achieve your academic goals but also to push yourself even further. I am a TEFL qualified tutor and have several years of experience teaching English to students from Hong Kong and France. I also write for an international travel blog and for a law firm, evidencing the adaptability and level of my writing. Besides giving language lessons, I can also proofread, develop and structure your essays, personal statements or any other written exercise you may need help with.

I have known Chantelle for over ten years. She is a very professional and kind-hearted tutor with patience and depth of knowledge that goes way beyond just her academic background and age. Her educational background of a law degree and her interests in writing and reading are undoubtedly great additions to her various ways of teaching. Inspiring students to do well academically and sparks their interests outside of school and textbooks. In addition, her love of traveling provides experience and skills to work with many different personalities. I would highly recommend her in delivering not only tutoring sessions but sharing experience, knowledge, and great stories along the way too.
