About Lucy
I am a current PhD student at Durham University specialising in Language Education. I have a BA in French and Spanish from Durham University and an MSc in Psychology from Northumbria University. I am passionate about both languages and good quality education and I have experience teaching at university level (I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy). My goal is to ensure that students enjoy their learning and feel motivated and confident, whether preparing for exams or learning for their own interests. I have experience in supervising dissertation writing and helping students with essay writing. I can also help with presentation preparation, understanding referencing, and proofreading any assignments. I am a native English speaker and can also help with English pronunciation and conversation skills. I am fluent in Spanish and can offer support for all things Spanish for GCSE/A-Level. Lesson length and topic are up to the student, I understand that each individual has a different approach to learning and I am happy to tailor my lesson to support the student's individual needs!
