About Susi
Thank you for considering me as your next tutor/teacher. I am a currently certified and licensed teacher working with children with special needs-specifically Dyslexia. My experience ranges from working with early childhood students with autism in self-contained classroom, to teaching high-school students in the general education setting. I have also taught adults in literacy based programs. I am a teacher. My students usually tell me that I am funny and fun, and they always say how much they love my classes. This makes me proud when I hear it, because I know that if they are enjoying the classes then they are engaging in the material, and that motivation is what will keep them eager to want to read!

My lessons are based on the needs of my students, taking into account their academic level and interests as well as their learning style. I create my lesson plans by pulling information from various research-based curriculums and tailoring it to that student. Generally, no two students will have the same lesson even if the concepts are the same. Lessons are fun and interactive. Students enjoy learning with me.
I teach Elementary to Adult students with Dyslexia. I also work with neurodivergent students such as those on the Autism Spectrum in basic skills.
