About Isla
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 6 years of experience teaching high school and college students. I am deeply passionate about helping learners develop strong English communication skills that support both academic and personal growth.
Over the past four years, I have taught around 150–200 students, many of whom achieved noticeable improvement in speaking, writing, and understanding English. My teaching approach is simple, flexible, and student-focused.
I emphasise real-life communication, clear explanations, and regular practice. One of my greatest achievements has been helping students break language barriers and speak English confidently in real-world situations.
I believe learning should be encouraging and enjoyable. My goal is to help every student feel confident, capable, and successful through English education

My teaching approach for ESL is student-focused, practical, and motivating. I design lessons that are clear, simple, and tailored to each student’s level and learning goals.
Motivation is important in my lessons. I encourage students with positive feedback, achievable goals, and recognition of progress. Communication is practised through speaking, listening, reading, and writing exercises using real-life examples.
Creativity makes lessons engaging. I use role plays, short stories, visuals, and practical activities to improve learning and retention. Time management ensures lessons are structured, productive, and enjoyable.
In addition to ESL, I also teach spoken English, grammar basics, vocabulary building, pronunciation, business communication, email writing, and presentation skills. My goal is to help students use English confidently in daily and professional situations.
