About Doug
I'm Douglas, I'm 23 years old and recently graduated. I'm a keen outdoors person and sports fan that aspires to be teaching classrooms in the near future. In order to improve my ability of teaching I believe that tutoring is the best avenue to grow and understand how different people learn. I always enjoyed math but often struggled with it. However, different to many subjects it's very objective - You're either right or you're wrong. For me, this makes it extremely rewarding to teach as you can see the exact moment that the concepts click! With the correct approach and dedication I believe almost everyone can do this subject, it comes down to learning how you learn and being logical in your studies and during your exam. Together, we can do exactly that.

- looking at other methods to come to an answer that perhaps your teacher has not taught you.
-learning how to understand what concepts the question is relating to and what the marker will be looking for.

Whether it's in the lead up to an exam or not, its all about using different strategies and techniques to make maths easier for you personally to grasp.
As an individual that struggled with maths during school and learned alternative methods to make these concepts click, I understand how helpful looking at a question from another angle can be. This belief allowed me to continue learning maths all the way up to University.
