About Stephen
In Economics and Business I was dux of my school in Economics extension. I studied Economics and Finance at University to Masters level and did my MBA at INSEAD, consistently ranked as one of the top business schools in the world. I have worked as a business consultant advising many of Australia's biggest companies. I also have Bachelors (UNSW) and Masters (College of Law) degrees in Law. English is also a real passion. I come from a very literary family (my brother is an author). I studied English extension for the HSC, and later completed my BA and Masters degree in English literature. I am now semi-retired and enjoy passing on my knowledge to students. I was in the first group trained to teach school Ethics in NSW. I also tutor university, MBA and Executive MBA students. My own children graduated high school in the past 2 years, and were helpful test subjects for my tutoring skills.

In my specialist subjects I have a lot of great experience, academically and practically. I have 7 relevant graduate and post-graduate degrees (5 Masters) so I have some good ideas about how to efficiently and effectively gain an understanding of course materials and prepare for exams and assessment tasks. I provide patient and thorough teaching, pitched at the right level to meet each student’s needs and ambitions. Each lesson or course of lessons will be customized to the student’s requirements.

Stephen was just what my kids (now 20 & 18) needed to boost their confidence and excel in their HSC. My youngest, in particular, had some 'mental blocks' around study. Most students are online. For face to face lessons I charge travel costs at half of the tutoring rate; i.e. at $32.50 ph. More than one student is possible at an extra $10 per student ph.
