About Madilyn
My passion for economics developed through an interest in understanding how societies grow, adapt, and respond to scarcity and opportunity. This led me to complete a B.A. in Economics, followed by an M.Sc. in Development Economics, where I explored economic theory alongside real-world applications. Over 9 years of teaching, I have guided students through complex ideas by emphasizing clarity, context, and thoughtful analysis.
As an educator, I focus on helping students build confidence in reasoning rather than memorization. I believe economics should be taught as a logical narrative that explains human behavior and institutional decisions. I adapt my teaching style to each learner, ensuring concepts are explained in ways that resonate with their academic level and interests.
Beyond teaching, I actively follow economic research, policy discussions, and global development issues. This ongoing engagement enriches my lessons and allows me to provide relevant, up-to-date perspectives. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I help students develop analytical skills that support informed thinking both academically and in everyday life.

My lessons focus on microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts such as supply and demand, consumer behavior, production, inflation, and economic growth. I emphasize logical relationships, graphical interpretation, and clear reasoning so students can confidently explain economic outcomes rather than memorize definitions.
