About Sandhya
Hi! My name is Sandhya. I am a college freshman willing to tutor high school and middle school students in the subjects of Chemistry (general, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry), Physics, and Economics (Introductory micro and macro econ). I am also capable of providing additional help in Writing (creative writing, formal essays, etc.)
Having just completed high school with outstanding grades and results, I will be able to provide students with helpful tips in the subjects mentioned, and being able to relate to any struggles they may face, I can act as a mentor in their learning process. Students can always benefit from an experienced peer with whom they can also hold a friendly relationship, and I am capable of being just that. I carry myself well and have experience tutoring my peers through my high school years. This experience is what makes me a friendly source of learning for students, and helps in creating a safe space where they are able to share their struggles both academically and otherwise, and gain help and advice in overcoming said struggles.

In the past 3 years I have been able to use various methods of tutoring to help middle school and high school students in my school through one on one sessions. I find that the most efficient method that translates well to my peers would be to spark questions within them, and have them incorporate day-to-day activities and observations to connect with the subject and answer said questions. For younger children, I like to incorporate teaching through art - be it making songs with the material, interpreting concepts into sketches, introducing them to basic infographics surrounding the subject, or having them compile their understanding of concepts into booklets or any other creative output of their choice. Many a time, it helps to have the students feel comfortable enough to the point where the session feels more like a group study, while discreetly guiding them through concepts they struggle with.
Being close in age and experience to my students, I will be able to provide helpful tips in the subject material of English (reading, writing and comprehensive), Economics, Chemistry, Physics and Statistics, and being able to relate to any struggles they may face, I can act as a mentor in their learning process. Thus, I am sure that I will be able to help in the holistic growth of students while boosting their confidence in their academic and extracurricular abilities
