About Peyton
My fascination with economics began with curiosity about how decisions, markets, and policies shape societies and influence daily life. This led me to pursue a B.A. in Economics and Development Studies, where I developed expertise in both theoretical frameworks and applied analysis. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided learners in understanding economic principles and applying them to real-world contexts. I prioritize clarity, engagement, and contextual learning. Many students struggle when economics is presented abstractly. I use case studies, contemporary examples, and interactive exercises to foster understanding and curiosity. Encouraging critical thinking and independent analysis is central to my approach, allowing learners to internalize concepts effectively and develop decision-making skills. Outside teaching, I remain actively engaged with economic research, policy trends, and international markets, integrating contemporary insights into lessons. Teaching economics is deeply fulfilling because I witness students develop confidence, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret and apply concepts to complex real-world challenges, equipping them for academic success and informed societal participation.

Economics becomes meaningful when students can connect theories to real-world behavior, markets, and policy-making. My lessons cover microeconomics, macroeconomics, fiscal and monetary policies, market structures, and applied economic modeling, emphasizing critical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving. I aim to cultivate a deep understanding of how decisions affect society and markets, helping learners apply concepts practically and confidently.
Lesson content is tailored to proficiency levels. Beginners focus on foundational terminology, basic supply-demand analysis, and simple market models. Intermediate learners explore elasticity, market efficiency, policy impacts, and economic indicators. Advanced learners engage in case studies, research-driven analysis, scenario modeling, and predictive evaluation. Exercises, graphical interpretation, and real-world examples reinforce comprehension and critical reasoning skills.
Economics lessons also develop analytical reasoning, decision-making, and quantitative analysis abilities.
