About Mel
My role as a tutor is to both facilitate attainment through specialised expertise, but also offer support during sometimes stressful periods, such as A-Levels, and make the process as easy as possible through guidance and assistance. Through close and consistent tuition, I aim to inspire confidence and high attainment.

I received high attainment in all essay-based subjects at school, including 9s at GCSE and 95% in my English A-Level. Studying Education and English at Cambridge, as well as six years of previous tuition experience, I am familiar with many teaching methodologies and can design short or long-term structures to ensure the highest grades for my tutee, catering to their needs as a learner.
I am able to tutor students from Year 7 to Year 12, focusing on core skills, such as comprehension, critical thinking and fluency.
I am also well-versed in university applications - including Oxbridge. I am able to offer thorough help with deciding between universities, personal statements, practice interviews and any other support.
My sessions are paid hourly, with a minimum of one hour to a maximum of three hours at a time. Consistency and regularity yield the best results and I recommend weekly sessions.
