About Maria Katerina
My name is Maria and I am a second-year university student studying Kindergarten and Elementary Education. When I’m not at school, you can find me watching a movie, reading a book, spending time with my family, or working at an ABA clinic for neurodiverse children. Education isn’t just a job to me — it’s a lifelong mission. Over the years, I’ve built up a wide range of tutoring experience. I’ve worked at Kumon, tutored privately, and provided academic support at a special needs center — giving me the skills to adapt to many different learning styles and needs. I come from a loud, loving, and busy Greek family, so be prepared for a tutor who can handle chaos and, in fact, thrives in it. I love Marvel, Justin Bieber, food, and quality time with the people I care about. Most of all, I love people — getting to know them, understanding what makes them tick — so expect to work with someone who’s always excited to connect, encourage, and cheer you on.

Our first session is free and used as an informal assessment. I’ll get to know your learning style, strengths, and goals so I can build a fully tailored program just for you. Each session can focus on exactly what you need: homework help, test prep, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, fluency, conjugation, or any combination — plus I’ll provide practice material to help you stay ahead in school. As someone who works with children every day — both in therapy and in the classroom — I know what works and what doesn’t. My lessons are engaging, practical, and always personalized. Expect to see your favorite hobbies, shows, and interests woven into your learning. Most importantly, this is a safe, inclusive space for all learners, especially neurodiverse students. I love getting to know the people I work with — so let’s learn in a way that feels right for you.

Maria is extremely knowledgeable in her field, and probably one of the most patient and supportive educators you will ever meet. She will do whatever it takes to help her students grow academically and her efforts surely will not go unnoticed. She genuinely cares for all people, student or not, and she always wants others to succeed. Her bubbly energy and contagious smile will bring comfort to her students and will motivate them on their learning journey!
