About Jordon
Throughout my experiences in education, I have cared for children as young as new-borns and taught children up to twelve years old. As a qualified teacher, I have had experience teaching Year 3 and Year 6. I have also had experience completing assessments for, and supporting, international students as part of my undergraduate degree. I am very passionate about English, including teaching English as a foreign language, and I hope to share this passion with my students.
Qualifications:
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with QTS (5-11 years old) (University of Birmingham)
Qualifi Level 5 Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language
BA (Hons) Degree in Education Studies (University of Gloucestershire)
Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development

As an experienced educator, I ensure that I tailor each lesson I teach to my students' individual needs, interests and motivations. I strongly believe in my role as a facilitator of student-led learning and actively encourage my students to explore their understanding whilst becoming more motivated, confident and resilient. My lessons utilise a variety of teaching strategies such as retrieval practice, scaffolding and variation theory. I also implement a variety of assessment strategies including quizzes.
I offer thirty minute and one hour lessons depending on the needs of my students, and I teach young children (up to eleven years old) as well as adults learning English. I also provide an informal induction as an opportunity for my students (or parents/carers) to introduce themselves, ask any questions they may have and to complete an initial assessment.
