About Elesa
I am a CELTA qualified EFL teacher offering general English, pronunciation, public speaking and acting tutoring at all levels. I am an experienced tutor at all levels of ability from beginner to advanced, offering a supportive, structured and individually tailored learning experience. I taught for two years in a language school teaching EFL and have taught Business English, Pronunciation and Public Speaking. I have taught children as well as adults and have a current DBS. In addition to private tutoring I have worked as an after school group leader teaching Creative Writing and Public Speaking for Chelsea Young Writers, most recently at Stormont Prep School in Hertfordshire. I am also a professional actor, with extensive stage, screen and radio credits, making me ideally placed to specialise in pronunciation, accent reduction and public speaking. Utilising my acting training and acting experience I have developed my own 'method' based approach to public speaking coaching which I find very effective and students seem to really like!. I love using my acting skills to help students grow in confidence and ability. I am friendly, patient and dedicated to helping students achieve their goals. Former students have seen tangible results at work and school. Lessons are at a central location, with stunning views! I also offer lessons on Skype. Perfect! My son (9 year old) did his first session with Elesa and was very engaged throughout the session. Elesa used multiple materials to make the lesson fun and we could clearly hear the improvement already in the first lesson. Very grateful to Elesa, so we are planning to carry on getting the support.
