My approach to learning is based on each student's strengths and weaknesses.
I like to get to know the learning style of the students I work with and develop a plan to tackle their struggles and build good working habits. I find this technique not only helps with the particular class we are working on improving but also with overall study skills.

Kathleen helped my child gain confidence and understanding in high school chemistry and math
Kathleen helped me take on my math tests by showing me what I was having trouble with (even when I thought I already knew it well she still helped me find my weaknesses) I am really grateful for the study skills I learned with her and I feel way more confident now.
Really good at explaining things in a way I understand, and making it easier for me to process and find a step by step method of doing problems.
Kathleen is patient, and committed to making sure that I actually understand the lessons we are learning before moving forward. We have done lessons via webcam and its so convenient to just hop on and chat with her when I need help. She got to know what my learning style was and planned our lessons around that - thank-you!

Details
Students wishing to cancel their lesson must give at least 24 hours notice otherwise the cost of the lesson will be charged. Lessons must be confirmed and paid at least 24 hours in advance otherwise it will be cancelled and the spot will be open for other students to book.
If lesson plans and materials are required then I will need to charge an extra fee for my time in order to prepare those materials as it is quite time consuming and not included in my hourly rate. This fee is determined by what is required. Students formally enrolled in classes looking for extra help will typically not require this - feel free to ask
