My continuous desire to learn has afforded me the opportunity to be able to share with my students the joy I have for learning, the feeling one gets when one begins to dream and imagine, to experience that flash of insight and the warm feeling of accomplishment. Feelings I would not trade for anything, but, would like to continue to share.
I see learning as a process of making connections, using pieces of information and putting it together to form a larger whole. I strive to be a teacher who allows her students to relate what they learn in class with their lives. I try to help them see how their lives connect with the community that surrounds them; to help them see how the world we live in is all intertwined and interrelated.

Marisa-Sue is an excellent teacher. She has worked with both of my boys, ages 11 and 13, and she has been able to explain things in a way that they understand.
