About Cassandra
I am a calm and attentive teacher who believes that students learn best when they feel confident and have a bit of fun! I take the time to get to know my students, their interests and preferred learning styles. I always aim to begin with what students know and with what they enjoy doing when planning a lesson, that way I can set them up for success and boost their confidence. I have 5+ years of experience as a classroom teacher. I am trained in a highly effective, systematic literacy intervention program that can be used to target and bridge gaps in reading and writing from K to Gr 8. I have experience working with student with a range of learning styles and abilities, including students with learning and other disabilities.
