About Melissa
I am a Certified Teacher from Ontario, Canada with an Early Childhood Education background for 14 years. My passion is teaching the early years as it is considered the most crucial years of development to focus on communication and language, and social and emotional development. This period is where children are provided the foundations for wider learning and later educational success. It is my hope that I can positively influence the young minds of our future generations.

I am committed to meeting the needs of students through an environment that is inclusive, engaging, exciting and positive, with a good dose of humour and humility. I believe that I have much to learn from students. It is this dynamic exchange, combined with being approachable, patient, firm and encouraging that motivates me to make a life long difference in the lives of students.
My lessons and activities are designed to offer a variety of teaching strategies using age appropriate and hands-on material and tools to help students achieve academic improvement and confidence. I am a stronger believer of parent-school connection, so I will provide as much open communication and feedback to parents and students with their learning and development.
