About Lyra
My teaching approach is built on five key values: Compassion, Communication, Creativity, Flexibility, and Problem-solving. I believe that a kind and understanding environment helps students feel comfortable and confident in their learning. I listen carefully to each student’s needs and challenges, and I support them with patience and encouragement. Clear communication is very important to me, so I explain concepts in simple ways and make sure students understand before moving forward. I encourage students to explore music in their own way by trying improvisation and composing their own pieces. This makes learning more fun and helps develop their unique musical style. I am flexible in my teaching methods and adapt lessons based on each student’s pace, interests, and goals. Whether a student wants to improve technique, prepare for exams, or simply enjoy playing, I tailor my lessons to fit them. Besides piano, I also teach other related subjects using the same approach. I apply creativity and problem-solving skills to help students overcome difficulties and build confidence. My goal is to make learning a positive and rewarding experience, helping every student grow both technically and artistically.

I have over 5 years of experience teaching piano, mainly to college students. I understand the challenges and goals that come with learning piano at this level. My lessons are designed to help students build strong technical skills while also developing their musical expression. I focus on making learning both effective and enjoyable.
My teaching style is patient and personalized. I take time to listen to each student’s needs and adapt my lessons to fit their learning pace. I encourage creativity by including improvisation and composition exercises. This helps students not only play music but also understand and create it.
I use innovative methods like ear training and digital tools to make lessons more interactive. I also create practice plans that keep students motivated outside of class. Whether preparing for exams or exploring new styles, I’m here to support every step of the musical journey.
