About Lindsay
My name is Lindsay. I have been working as a reading and spelling remediation tutor for over 2years. Before that, I have experience as a middle school homework tutor. In 2019, I graduated with a degree in English and Comparative Literature. As a late reader myself, I couldn’t read till I was 9, I am passionate about encouraging and assisting others in developing a love for learning.

I design my lessons to fit the student by determining their foundational knowledge. From there, I organize a lesson plan that develops off what they know and creates connections to their learning goal.
A typical lesson starts with review. Next, we venture into a new or continued concept, followed by practice activities, and reading material that further cements the concept.
Curiosity is exciting! It is the natural impulse to learn and continue learning. I design individualized lessons because I want to encourage the student's curiosity. This makes learning enjoyable while increasing confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
I have experience tutoring students from k-12. Essay writing, grammar, and literature are fantastic for high school and college students. I welcome people of all ages and backgrounds.
