About Emanuele
Upper second class BA honours graduate in Music Production & Sound Engineering. With an ear for all things dark, atmospheric and bass-driven, Idioteque has quickly been proving himself as an up-and-coming producer that you should keep firmly on your radar. Currently residing in London, he has largely been focusing on electronic music production within the realm of dubstep, 140 and Trip Hop, while previously gaining recognition in the world of drum and bass. His first public venture into 140 was the well-received free download ‘Vendetta’ released on his own Soundcloud, a glimpse into his new production style filled with swung drum grooves, spacious atmospherics and weighty subs. Following on from this, he released ‘Morality’ on the esteemed Duploc. Filled with reverb-laden drum hits, skilfully arranged percussive elements and a snarling bassline. This track became a label favourite and was featured as part of Duploc Selects Y (Vinyl 12”). "Idioteque's remix of Ourman's 'Bad Things'. A growling interpretation of the original, with a wide scope of rich bass textures, rising and cascading throughout, cutting through the track's original eerie melodic blips and dark atmospherics. Available as a bonus track for anyone who purchases Ourman's full EP, as part of Duploc's 10 year anniversary release catalogue" - Jah-Tek As of November 2022, his latest EP 'Keeping You Alive = Killing Me More' is worlds away from any previous releases, and features vocals from the well-established Sheba Q on 'Wrong Turns In Odyssey', and new talent Isa Sin on 'Richie Aprile'. It also features a moving spoken-word piece by enigmatic friend Toulouse, 'Seaview 9’. Rapidly-improving production and a growing list of unreleased music has caught the attention of artists such as Dolenz, J.Sparrow, Joe Nice, LX ONE, Neffa-T, N-Type, Ternion Sound, Sicaria Sound, Sumgii to name a few, with regular plays on respected stations such as Dekmantel’s podcast series, Ilian Tape, Rinse, SWU and Subtle, along with track support in locations such as Fabric (UK), Motion (UK), The Wire (UK), The Black Box (US), Boomtown (UK), Infrasound (US) Outlook (HR) and more. For anyone who's wanting to learn, I like to have a conversation with the individual to assess what level they are and what they'd like to achieve in their time. Afterwards I shall structure each lesson suited to the person, reflecting on the progress made and then build on that.
