About Pedro
Why am I a tutor? I am inspired by the transformative power of personalized assistance and driven to make a meaningful impact as a tutor. I firmly believe that every individual has a unique learning style and potential waiting to be unlocked. By providing tailored guidance and mentorship, I aim to empower students to surpass their own expectations and reach their full academic potential.
What is my experience? I possess a strong academic background in Mathematics and Physics and have honed my tutoring skills through previous experiences working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities as a teaching assistant at the University of Bristol and as a personal tutor. I constantly adapt my teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and active participation.
What has been my favourite teaching experience? Currently I am also a volunteer with the Green power foundation where I am helping year 3 students design and race kit cars. A thoroughly rewarding experience where I have had to radically change my approach to teaching to be able to connect in that environment. This has reinforced my interest in education and having a tangible impact in the lives around me.

My approach is built on two key things: skill development and adaptability. First, I start by creating a solid foundation using the best methodology that aligns with the preferred curriculum. From there, I tailor each lesson to fit the student’s individual needs, adjusting based on their understanding and progress.
Beyond just knowledge, I love helping students develop strong analytical and scientific thinking skills. To do this, I use a mix of worksheets, class activities, and past papers to make learning engaging and effective.
Lastly, I believe communication is key! I make sure to keep parents updated on their child’s progress, so everyone stays in the loop and we can celebrate their achievements together.
