About Miranda
I am a PhD student at UCL in chemical engineering (electrochemical) , holding MSc (distinction) and BEng (first-class honours) degrees in chemical engineering also from UCL. I have also completed A-levels or equivalent in maths, physics and chemistry (A*A*A), and AS-level further maths (A).
I have experience tutoring primary school students through the charities Jacari and Book Buddies, mentoring university students and as a teaching assistant on a UCL undergraduate engineering/chemistry course. I have also had multiple roles as a writer/editor, working on effectively communicating technical subject matter.

I am available to tutor general engineering/mathematics-related fields (ages 14+), or chemical engineering more specifically at a university undergraduate level, particularly process engineering topics, using MATLAB and related software, and electrochemical engineering. I can also advise students on university admissions personal statements for undergraduate or postgraduate level.
I can approach topics more generally to build and consolidate understanding, or focus on readiness for particular exams, such as GCSEs, A levels, entrance exams and undergraduate exams. Please let me know which direction you would like to take so we can develop a good strategy together!
I will typically aim for 1hr lessons once a week, but we can discuss and work around your schedule and needs! I would also prefer online lessons where possible, but could travel to give lessons in person within London zones 1-2 or east London (however, I am allergic to some dogs/cats so please let me know if you have any in advance).
