About Afrose
I am studying Renewable Energy Engineering and have always had a natural flair for teaching. I have been doing group classes in person for over two years in GCSE Maths, English Lit and Chemistry. In my undergraduate studies, I come across sciences, maths and computing on a day to day basis, which allows me to explain problems in terms of real life scenarios so students are reassured and able to picture things clearly.

My teaching method varies slightly based on the subject/s I am teaching. With maths, for example, I would take a more problem-solving style approach where I would start off the lesson with trickier questions that I would show step-by-step how to tackle, as a kind of mental warm-up exercise. I would then go through past exam-style questions on the topic we study for that lesson. If it shows they can complete the questions independently, we would swiftly move on to the next topic/ subtopic. I would leave them with trickier questions for homework so that they are stimulated until the next session. Also, so that I know they are fully able in the topic. At the start of our journey, I will try to encourage students to fall in love with their subjects before anything so that they are more willing to learn, even in their own time.
