Teaching Method and Techniques
I love using real world examples and life scenarios to make learning engaging. This includes the use of captivating video content and using scenario-based problems. My approach is to ask the right questions, so that students are empowered to solve problems on their own as much as possible.
A Typical Lesson Plan
1. Identify key problem areas to work through in the session.
2. Briefly go over the key concepts using engaging content (e.g. video).
3. Do a problem for the student with the student observing.
4. Let the student do a problem with minimal assistance.
5. Work on more problems in the area of weakness that was identified.
Teaching Level
I love teaching high school students, but would also like to have more opportunities to tutor college level calculus. I am currently enrolled in an engineering degree, and have completed Calculus I and II.
