About Anisha
Hi! I’m Anisha, a first-year undergraduate student at UNSW studying Engineering. I recently completed the IB Diploma, where I took Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level, and have been through years of Kumon training during my foundation years. Math has always fascinated me—the way it sharpens your thinking, builds logic, and gives you the tools to solve real-world problems. But my journey with math wasn’t always smooth. There was a time when I struggled, doubted myself, and felt overwhelmed by numbers. What changed everything was having a teacher who didn’t just explain the steps, but helped me understand the ‘why’ behind them. That guidance sparked my confidence and turned math from something I feared into something I loved. Now, I want to offer that same support to younger students. I know how intimidating math can feel, but I also know how empowering it is once it clicks. I want to be a patient, relatable mentor—someone who helps you make sense of math in a way that sticks, and maybe even makes you smile along the way.

By fostering a positive, encouraging environment, I aim to boost confidence, reduce math anxiety, and help students not just learn math, but truly enjoy it.
