About Mya
I struggled hard in school despite finding it very easy. The environment was difficult for me; however, academics are my strong suit. When I finally tried again I met a teacher who helped me want to be great again and get my spark for learning back. I thrive on helping other people get their spark for learning back or just there because once you learn to love learning you will never want to stop, I went from giving up on learning to feeling discontent when I was not. The only thing that matters is how the teacher makes you feel and the subject will come easy. I want my students to thrive and be comfortable and happy learning.

My method is hands-on. Pinpointing the weak spots and making them strong. I have worked with people that have failed exams for years and passed first time after working with me for a few weeks. My lesson plan is curated for success, warm up with a weak area then go onto the main task. This makes improving easier and less overwhelming to digest. A perfect age range for me would be Year 5-13. I have helped many college students that struggled getting their maths and English and children who were falling behind. A regular session can range from 1h30m-2h30m depending on the curriculum we are revising and what the specific areas of weakness are.

Details
