About Joe
Hi, I’m Joe an English student at the University of Warwick. Growing up with a mum who’s a teacher, I’ve always had a passion for helping others learn, and it’s something I’d love to continue after I finish my degree. I’m excited to share my love of books, poems, plays with students who want to improve their understanding and confidence in these subjects. I’ve always done well in school, and in public exams, which means I’ve got a good understanding of the curriculum and what’s expected in your essays. Whether it’s analysing Shakespeare or writing newspapers, I know what works, and I can offer advice on how to get top marks based on how exam papers are marked. I believe that learning can (and should!) be enjoyable, and I love helping students discover that with the right support, they can do better than they ever thought possible. I’d love to work with you to help you succeed in your studies, no matter where you’re starting from.

In my lessons, I hope to build on the work that has been set in their classes at school and tailor my sessions to help my students fill in any gaps in their learning and build their confidence in the content they are studying. I aim for my sessions to be around 1 hour however this is flexible and can be adjusted to meet the demands of the student. As previously mentioned I am currently an undergraduate at Warwick University in my second year and I advertise my sessions to anyone at GCSE level or below (KS3 and KS4). I have previous experience tutoring English at this level both in person and online. I also have experience working in Summer Schools that teach English to foreign students to children aged 11-17
