About Sarah
Hi there! I'm Sarah, a postgraduate law student at the University of Melbourne. In 2020, I graduated from a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Theatre Studies and History.
I remember the stress and demands of VCE, particularly when having to deal with a subject I didn't like, therefore I thoroughly enjoy introducing students to a more engaging and interactive approach to learning, fostering a positive and supportive environment that not only helps them grasp challenging concepts but also instills a genuine passion for the subject.
I have been tutoring since 2018 and have accumulated over 500 hours of tutoring experience. My tutoring journey has led to some incredible opportunities such as:

In my tutoring sessions, my primary focus is on fostering students’ confidence by presenting course content in an approachable manner tailored specifically to SACS, tests, and exam conditions. As such, my sessions are holistic, focusing not just on writing, but all skills that are relevant to success in English. This means that some sessions are spent reading and writing notes on what was read, or building a vocabulary cheat sheet, or learning about language devices.
Leveraging my own experiences from school and university, I help my students develop robust skills and work ethic. More importantly, I do all of this in a way that instils healthy study habits that enable my students to cope with the stress and demands of high school, ultimately helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.

$70 is my hourly rate for in-person sessions which require travel. This is inclusive of all travel costs, my resources, and access to my help 24/7. I will never ask for extra fees on top of this.
