About Asiya
I am a single vibrant mother of 2, my daughter is also an educator, I am passionate about the English language, I have worked in the Cooperate industry for over 20 years, business letter writing and communicating has been my main line of work throughout. I have been a trainer and facilitator at Lifeline Durban for 13 years. I am inspired by helping people on their journey of growth, be it emotional or academic. It makes me feel empowered to empower others. The English language is my first language and I am truly passionate about speaking, reading ,writing and teaching it! Growing up as a child I was number one at school debates, creative writing, drama and grammar. I hold a Degree in Business, have a qualification in Leadership, and a Post Graduate degree in Teaching. Together with my experience in the business World and Teaching at school, facilitating, counselling, I am more than competent to guide you.

My teaching approach is learner centered. I pride my lessons in getting to know my learners and their preferred learning styles, I then adapt my lessons accordingly. I work with my learners, we are all unique and I cater for individual needs. My lessons are fun and enjoyable, and as practical as can be, to assist comprehension and understanding. My strength is being a good listener and a confident speaker. My bubbly personality, I find helps keep the focus and attention on my learners, and aids in remembering study content .
