About John
I have a B. A. degree in English and J.D. and LL.M. degrees in law. My professional life provided me with extensive experience in legal writing and oral argument. As a lawyer, I had the good fortune of supervising and training numerous articling students. My primary message to them was that effective written and oral advocacy requires precision, clarity, and economic use of language.

My teaching methodology varies according to the needs of the student. When teaching young prosecutors, I used instructor-based teaching which emphasized lectures. As students became more experienced my methodology focused on group discussion and situational simulation. Role-playing can also be an effective methodology in appropriate circumstances.
