About Claire
I am a recent graduate of Coventry University, where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature. Whilst still in Sixth Form, I had part-time work tutoring multiple students at Kumon Tutoring Centre. Since then, I have volunteered at a primary school giving one-on-one reading classes to students who were struggling to read aloud. My most recent employment was with my university, where I participated in the Subject Talks which occurred during our Open Days. Although this was not a teaching position, delivering my portion of the presentations provided valuable experience in delivering information clearly.

My general teaching method is to begin each class by presenting an overview of our topic, delivering any key information and establishing the outline of what I have planned for us to get done. Following this, I prepare one practical task for my student to work through, with my help wherever needed. Depending on the class, this could be practising to write a section of an essay, to draw a sound analysis from a text, or to answer an exam question.
