About Sylva
Hello! My name is Sylvain, and I am a qualified English educator, TEFL- and TESOL-certified teacher, with a bachelor's degree in English language and several years of teaching experience.
I am currently working at GEMS School in Ras Al Khaimah, where I continue to develop my classroom teaching experience and support learners in their academic and language development.
In addition to my school-based teaching experience, I also teach English online through Preply, working with students from different countries and backgrounds. This has given me valuable experience in adapting lessons to different levels, learning styles, personalities, and learning objectives.
My Teaching Approach
I believe that an effective English teacher should do more than simply explain grammar. My aim is to help learners understand English, use it correctly, communicate confidently, and enjoy the learning process.
My lessons are learner-centered, practical, interactive, and personalized.
