About Toby
Hi, I'm Toby! I'm a Royal Naval Officer and also studying Politics and International Relations as an undergraduate.
I grew up in the south of England and attended Winchester College, one of the UK's top public schools. This helped me develop my native English speaking to a confident, coherent and high-quality level.
I have found that speaking well has helped my credibility in many areas of life - it has made me appear more trustworthy, intelligent and professional. And I have certainly found it has increased my job prospects and enhanced my social connections.
I would love to help others to develop this skill!
I love talking about music, sport, current affairs and the military. So if you are interested in any of these topics, do let me know. Otherwise, I'm sure we'll find something else to bond over!

These lessons are for those who wish to develop their English speaking style.
Speaking English well and with a clear RP accent can greatly benefit your work and studies when in the UK.
These lessons are taught by a Royal Naval Officer and alumnus of Winchester College.
Lessons are usually 30/60mins.
I begin each lesson by having a casual conversation: checking in with how you are, providing insight into life in the UK or even giving advice such as how to get into good schools and universities. I also have exercises to work through that improve grammar, spelling, vocabulary and pronunciation.
